If you’re feeling blocked, scattered, or uninspired, take a look around.
Because sometimes the problem isn’t you – it’s where you’re sitting.

Whether you’re building a dollhouse, writing your next chapter, or sending an email – where you do it matters.
What would it look like to claim a corner of your world just for you?
Not for laundry. Not for kids. Not for multitasking.
Your command central for ideas, experiments, and expression filled with things that make you smile.
If your space needs a little help, I’ve got a few tips for you.
3 Tips to Create a Dreamy Workspace
Make it personal. This is your space – not a Pinterest post. Add color, objects, and textures that make you smile. Weird art, favorite books, a tiny disco ball… whatever reminds you that you live here. I have things things that are sentimental, silly, pretty and empowering all mixed together.
Clear the clutter. Chaos kills momentum. Keep the space clean and organized so that you truly want to sit down and focus – and know where to find things when you actually do.
This will look different for everyone. Personally, I don’t like a lot of stuff on my work surface, but love my walls filled with things that inspire me.
You don’t need fancy office organizers either. Find ways to repurpose items you already have – a vase for a pencil holder, a pretty tray for your post-its, etc.
Set the tone. Light a candle. Turn on your favorite playlist (don’t have one? You can get myDollhousing Mix Tape for FREE on Spotify). Open the blinds. Grab a warm beverage. You get the idea.
Use scent, sound, and ritual to tell your brain: it’s me time. When Chase was a baby, we gave him a warm bottle only at night so he’d start to recognize, this means sleep, not play. Same idea here. A vibe is not frivolous – it’s functional.
Here’s to claiming your corner,
