Design has always been like a siren for Amanda and luckily she was encouraged to answer it from an early age.
Her childhood bedroom was swathed in lilac paint and accented with various walls of peach sponge painting and handprints. Her taste was questionable, but the passion for creativity and design was certainly undeniable.
Things have changed a bit since then, she has a Bachelors Degree in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, close to 20 years of experience in the interior design field, holds a NCIDQ certificate, and is licensed with the State of Florida, but some things are still the same.
Like her life long love of dollhouses.
And one day, Amanda thought to herself,
"I really love this and I want to spend more time doing this."
So that's what she did and so here is where we are.
Chase is a sweet and spunky 9 year old and best of all - Amanda's awesome son!
You'll see his freckled face often as he is a big part of all the little happenings. In fact, without him we might not be here today, but that's a story for another time.
The creative apple doesn't fall from the tree and Chase already has a passion for writing stories and then shooting videos with his wide collection of stuffed animals, while also finding time to draw his own comics, make rubber band bracelets, and teach himself to crochet. And he does this all while maintaining great grades at school and trying out various sports!
Feel free to check out his YouTube Channel "Chase's Channel" if you're in the mood to be entertained. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCt4LojAg3NCAyTHGpyBq88g
Skies the limit and this kiddo is shooting for the stars!
The little touches are what makes a space cohesive and gives it a “wow” factor. No detail is too small or too big, but it is always the ones that go overlooked that come back to bite you in the butt.
Always be willing to try something new or do something you've never done before.
This is supposed to be fun, remember?!
Albert Einstein said it best when he said, "Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, and giving birth to evolution."
You never know when you might need that little whatchamacallit and if you feel like a borderline hoarder, you’re on the right track.
Memories are what makes the magic.
Great design causes an emotion, no matter if it’s good, bad or ridiculous. Think about the feeling you want to create or have viewers experience and select elements that will get you there.
If you don’t have something you need, use something you have and adapt. There is a solution to every problem and where there’s a will, there's a way.
